In the first class on the afternoon of 21st November, 2017, teacher Zhang Yan with the English Department of Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Section in the east campus showcased a demonstration lesson in Class 5, Grade 7. All the English teachers from the Junior High Division attended the public class and conducted class evaluation afterwards.
To start with, this demonstration lesson centered on the integrated skills of ‘Unit 5 Let’s Celebrate!’ in the first volume of the seventh grade’s English textbook. The whole class was perfect from the preparations to the actual presentation.
Furthermore, teacher Zhang Yan positively aroused students’ senses to help them memorize new words. Thus, on the one hand, the classroom atmosphere was quite active. On the other hand, the time management was compact and reasonable. Besides, the class was featured in new forms and highlighted merits. In the meantime, teacher Zhang Yan’s elegant teaching attitude was full of affinity.
To sum up, teacher Zhang Yan’s open class not only played an exemplary role for young teachers, but also provided new inspiration for teachers in regard to class innovation, benefiting all teachers a lot.
